We often apply these words interchangeable without realizing that discomfort is undesirable, it does not always equal harm. Harm is an injury that leaves an emotional, physical, or psychological wound.
Equity makes opportunities more accessible to everyone. People with different heights receive different boxes so that they can see over the fence.
Everyone who is a part of something shall have a say in how everyone else moves forward.
Diversity brings people from many different backgrounds and ethnicities with the purpose of providing a better environment.
Organizational DEI work is a combined practice aimed towards bettering the livelihood of organizations by improving conditions for its stakeholders through thought process, behavioral, and policy changes surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
Each person is a complex and unique. Identity explores the many characteristics that make up each multifaceted individual. When we understand our identities, we are better able to understand and address what comes up when we engage with others and the complex systems of our organizations.
